Mad Kate ∣ the Tide single featured on Expatriarch Radio #35
Joey Hansom hosts the New Year edition of Expatriarch Radio during his NYC visit, joined by writer/performer Max Steele (pictured). Aside from their musings, you’ll hear tunes from Berliner artists such as Anika, Vaginal Davis, Snax, Mad Kate, Electrosexual and Experimental Housewife, as well as international acts Maria Minerva, Trust, DJ Sprinkles, Holly Herndon and Madmoizel, who are all performing in the German Hauptstadt in the coming weeks.
Wagner 2013. Künstlerpositionen: Das Heer. Vier Operationen an Wagners Ring
I’ll be part of the Schreichor for a production of Die Walküre at AdK later this month. I’m quite sure its going to be incredible, with the inspiring likes of Margo Zalite involved. (Do, 24. bis So, 27. Januar 2013)

Mad Kate & The Tide: “Leather jacket” Out Now!
The amazing Mad Kate—renowned performance artist, writer, dancer, and vocalist with a musical background in punk, soul, folk, house and rock n’ roll—has teamed up with The Tide—experimental guitarist and producer—to create the performance project of our times—multilayered, hyperlinked, interdisciplinary—and as much skilled performance as it is a pleasure to listen to.
New Releases from Hermetech Mastering
The debut single by Berlin’s Mad Kate & The Tide, entitled “Leather Jacket”, will soon be available to order from all the usual places. You can hear a streaming version here. I’ll be working with them again in the new year.
Warehouse9 has not been around very long, but already has a reputation of putting on a show that’s both shocking and entertaining. Just recently they housed the International Performance Art festival, which featured controversial acts such as Mad Kate and Kira O’Reilly. Art 4 Social Change looks like it will be just as titillating.
